Vijaya Cherukuri, MD, is highly experienced in providing effective and quality care in primary care, emphasizing geriatric care and women’s health. Dr. Cherukuri is the medical director of Premier Health Care Inc. in St. Petersburg, Florida, which serves the South Pasadena community.
Dr. Cherukuri graduated medical school from the Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, India, and completed her residency at the Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, New York. She is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and a member of the American Medical Association and the American Geriatrics Society. Dr. Cherukuri also earned an MBA degree in healthcare administration from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida.
Dr. Cherukuri has been practicing in the St. Petersburg area for the past 18 years. She attends in-patient care at all South Pinellas county hospitals. Dr. Cherukuri is married and has a son and a daughter. Besides English, she is also fluent in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil languages.
